BridalShowsATX.com ("the Site") is a bridal show and wedding expo directory operated by Weddings By Wendi, based in Austin, Texas. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from visitors to the Site and from organizers who submit listing inquiries.

We take your privacy seriously. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.

2. What We Collect

We collect two types of information:

Information you provide directly — when you submit a form on the Site:

• Planning inquiry form (plan-your-wedding.html): name, partner's name, email address, wedding date, estimated guest count, preferred location, and any notes you choose to include
• Listing inquiry form (get-listed.html): name, email address, event or venue name, event type, city, event date, and any additional details provided

Information collected automatically — when you visit the Site, our analytics tools collect:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• General geographic location (city and country level — not precise location)
• Referral source (how you arrived at the Site)
• Anonymous click, scroll, and mouse movement patterns

We do not collect payment card information. All payments for Featured Partner listings are handled by third-party payment processors.

3. How We Use Your Information

Information you submit through forms is used to:

• Respond to your inquiry within 1–2 business days
• Provide wedding planning guidance or listing availability and pricing
• Manage your Featured Partner listing if you become a listing partner
• Send updates related to your listing (date changes, renewal reminders) — with your consent

Automatically collected data is used to:

• Understand how visitors use the Site and which content is most useful
• Improve page design, content, and navigation
• Monitor site performance and identify technical issues
• Measure the effectiveness of our SEO and content strategy

4. Analytics & Tracking Tools

BridalShowsATX.com uses the following tools, all loaded via Google Tag Manager (GTM-TX4XZN3M):

None of these tools collect your name or email address. Input fields in forms (name, email) are masked or excluded from session recordings by default. These tools use cookies to track returning visitors anonymously.

5. Cookies

BridalShowsATX.com uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — through its analytics tools. Cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site over time and across sessions.

Types of cookies used:

• Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics, Hotjar, Heap, and Microsoft Clarity to track anonymous usage patterns
• Functional cookies — set by Google Tag Manager to manage which tracking scripts load

6. Third-Party Services

BridalShowsATX.com uses the following third-party services:

• Web3Forms — processes form submissions. When you submit a planning or listing inquiry, your data is transmitted to Web3Forms and forwarded to our email inbox. Web3Forms does not store your data beyond the transmission.
• Google Tag Manager — manages all analytics scripts loaded on the Site
• Kinsta — static site hosting provider. Kinsta may log server access data including IP addresses for security purposes.
• Cloudflare — DNS provider. Cloudflare may process traffic data for security and performance purposes.

We do not share your personal information with any of these services beyond what is necessary to operate the Site. We do not sell your data to any third party.

7. Data Retention

We retain data as follows:

• Form submissions — retained in our email inbox for up to 24 months for business record purposes
• Google Analytics — data retained for 14 months (default setting)
• Microsoft Clarity — session recordings retained for 30 days by default
• Hotjar — session recordings retained for 365 days by default
• Heap — event data retained per Heap's default retention policy

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Requests are processed within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to know — what personal data we hold about you
• Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data
• Right to opt out — of the sale of personal data (we do not sell data)
• Right to correct — inaccurate personal data we hold about you

To opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites, use the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

9. Children's Privacy

BridalShowsATX.com is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the Site, contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For material changes, we will notify active listing partners by email.
